Charlotte, NC | April 26, 2017 – Jackrabbit Technologies’ marketing team recently did a little spring cleaning in their supply office where they store conference and training supplies and donation items.
The team found a box of school supplies that were remnants from another service project in which backpacks were stuffed for children in some eastern European countries.
Who could use lots of pencils, erasers and zippered school supply pouches?
One of the marketing team members who is from the Atlanta area had an idea that would put these supplies to use.
The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry has a Tuesday Tutoring program for kids and there is also a tutoring program that set up a Tutoring school at a Gwinnett County (GA) area trailer park called the Path Project.
The box of supplies was delivered as Gwinnett County Schools started their spring break and the volunteers who accepted the donation noted that the kids would be thrilled with the surprise of new supplies upon their return on the Tuesday after the break.
“The lesson learned here was that no donation is too small. We didn’t think the modestly sized box of odd numbers of supplies would have a home. Luckily, one of our team members knew about this organization’s needs,” notes Jackrabbit Technologies President and CoFounder, Mark Mahoney. “We are thrilled when we can help children excel in all areas of their lives.”
