Jackrabbit Swim Kicks Off Scholarship Donations in a Big Way
Charlotte, NC | June 30, 2020 – Jackrabbit Swim, the leading provider of cloud-based class management software for swim schools, has stepped up as the first donor in the Hope Floats Foundation COVID-19 Scholarship Relief Fund. With a $5,000, dollar per dollar match, Jackrabbit Swim fully supports the Foundation’s mission to increase the number of scholarships available for local families in need to enroll their children in swim lessons.
Why is the Hope Floats Foundation COVID-19 Scholarship Relief Fund crucial now?
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children under age 5 and the second leading cause of accidental death for children under age 14. The relief fund efforts will save lives.
While swim lessons dramatically reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent (according to studies at the National Institute of Health), the pandemic-caused closures of swim schools across the country in March combined with the economic impact of COVID-19 have caused children to be at higher risk of drowning and increased the need for Hope Floats scholarship support.

Jackrabbit Swim fully supports the community reach of swim schools – especially during this period when COVID-19 has caused closures and stressful financial situations for them – to help them continue to provide skills that can be life-saving ones to all children.
The Hope Floats Foundation Board of Directors has designated more than $15,000 to launch a national COVID-19 Scholarship Relief fund which will be combined with local fundraising to reach as many families as possible.
“Helping out through support from our company – as we’ve done by providing the swim schools using our software with significant fee discounting – or by leading the fundraising charge for the Hope Floats Foundation, is critical in swim schools’ reopening efforts as quarantines are lifting across our country,” says Jackrabbit Swim co-founder and CEO, Mark Mahoney.
In addition to supporting the Hope Floats Foundation COVID-19 Scholarship Relief Fund, Jackrabbit Swim also supports the United States Swim School Association in its efforts to provide continuous support and resources to its member swim schools.
