Meet Greg Bronzert, Chief Technology Officer at Jackrabbit Technologies. He has never found a piece of technology he didn’t think could be improved. Greg has a laser focus on leveraging technology to solve real problems while focusing on the user experience to ensure solutions facilitate productivity, not hinder it. His deep background in computer engineering, combined with a wide array of real world experience helps him deliver secure, reliable, and most importantly, usable applications. Greg’s problem solving skills allow him to quickly and efficiently break down complex issues and distill them into simple, effective solutions.
Greg joined Jackrabbit in 2013 as a Senior Developer with the goal of using his extensive enterprise experience to accelerate Jackrabbit’s ability to deliver quality software releases while sustaining its stellar uptime performance as the company grew. Along the way, he modernized their software build system, added DevOps management, migrated to a more robust cloud environment, and contributed significant architecture improvements to the codebase. As the company scaled, he was promoted from Developer to Manager to Director, and finally to CTO. One of the best parts of this journey has been helping build a world-class development team at Jackrabbit through a mentor based approach to management.
Prior to Jackrabbit, Greg helped build a wide variety of software systems. At First Data, he helped build PayPoint, a payment processing engine used by many states and banks that processed $75M daily. At the Motley Fool, fool.com, Greg helped modernize the engine that handled customer’s stock portfolios. At Mitre, he worked on a variety of projects from patient care systems for the Indian Health Service to validating the security of VPN systems for the Department of Defense.
Greg graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Computer Engineering. He’s an avid traveler who enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and golfing with his sons.
