Ronald McDonald House Relationship Blossoms to Include Charlotte and Vancouver Locations
June 28, 2023 – CHARLOTTE, NC – Jackrabbit Technologies, the leader in providing cloud-based class management software to youth activity centers, is excited to see its community service efforts grow to include two Ronald McDonald House locations: Charlotte and the British Columbia and Yukon region located in Vancouver.
Giving Back was the Plan for Jackrabbit’s Relationship with Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte from the Beginning
While Jackrabbit supported Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte as much as possible during COVID restrictions, the giving-back focused company added hands-on initiatives once restrictions were lifted. Jackrabbit chose grounds beautification as a difference-maker its team could tackle. Now an annual event, Jackrabbit’s RMH Beautification Day is a full-on effort to help the House make their Healing Garden into a quiet and beautiful place where the parents and children who are residents can relax and enjoy nature.
“Jackrabbit brought more than 60 organized and energetic team members to beautify our Healing Garden and to cheer on our RMH crowd at the evening’s Charlotte Knights game,” said Denise Cubbedge, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte. “We are excited and grateful to have Jackrabbit as one of our two Corporate Champions.”
The timing of this event was perfect, since the Charlotte Knights Baseball game that recognizes Ronald McDonald House took place that evening.
Expanding Their Ronald McDonald House Giving Efforts to Canada’s British Columbia and Yukon Region
Jackrabbit is a virtual company that has employees living across the continental United States and in several cities in Canada. When Jackrabbit’s Vancouver contingent became interested in exploring a community service relationship with Ronald McDonald House British Columbia and Yukon, the coast-to-coast excitement began. The exploration became reality on June 7 when a team of six Jackrabbit employees spent several hours at the local RMH location packaging 72 freezer meals for residents of the house.
“Ronald McDonald House for the British Columbia and Yukon region is a home away from home for families who must travel to Vancouver for their child’s medical treatment. RMH British Columbia’s programs, like Freezer Meals, help families cope with the challenges they face, both financially and emotionally. We are grateful for companies like Jackrabbit that make this possible by participating in these programs at the House,” says Richard Pass, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of the British Columbia and Yukon region.
“Seeing our relationship with Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte blossom into one that brings in a new house location is the start of something powerful. We hope to explore similar efforts in other RMH cities,” said Mark Mahoney, CEO of Jackrabbit Technologies. “Sharing our resources with such a critical service for families in need of support during a child’s illness speaks to the very core of why we chose Ronald McDonald House as a community service partner.”
